Global Furry Television (GFTV) marked its 11th anniversary with a livestream that gathered team members and the community. The event highlighted the Singaporean furry news channel’s growth and introduced a new initiative, Project Starlight.
During the stream, GFTV reported progress in expanding its team, extending its reach to new regions, and adding service languages.
Speakers stressed the group’s role as a safe and welcoming space, especially for people who face bullying, social exclusion, or mental health challenges.
The main announcement focused on Project Starlight. The multi-year plan aims to grow local furry meets and community spaces into a “connected ecosystem.” GFTV’s Events Director, Augy, said the project will deliver events that are regional, inclusive, and sustainable.
The celebration also featured the GFTV team oath, a performance of GFTV’s team anthem Into the World Our Paws Reach Out, and a group photo with attendees in fursuits or holding plush toys.
Later, the stream shifted into a casual segment where participants played games together, culminating in attendees singing Majulah Singapura, Singapore’s national anthem.
