Community Initiative and Outreach (CIO)
Global Furry Television hosts and engages with the furry community and the general public using a variety of tools and hosting its own activities and events.
Services
Ushering and Hello Spots 🙂
Wherever event GFTV goes, they will deploy various visually distinctive signs.
The signs assist in ushering and make common spaces more welcome for first-time furries and/or attendees.
Community Events (CE.)
GFTV hosts in-person activities and events to further engage the furry community beyond online spaces.
All of that is to bond the community and make friendships made online more meaningful.
Online Communities (OC.)
GFTV offers family-friendly online chat spaces for furries to meet and make new friends.
On special and planned occasions do we involve our Communities to celebrate, or simply have a good time.
Furry Statistics Centre (FurStat)
Using its massive Asian reach, GFTV publishes data on furries previously not or less seen before.
This greatly complements existing data on furries which have long been Western-dominant.
Case Studies
Little Island Furcon (LIFC) 2023
Many first-time attendees got lost because of LIFC 2023’s rather obscure venue.
For that, GFTV’s Core Coverage Support (CCS) Team used its ushering placards to lead LIFC attendees to the venue.
GFTV’s Hello Spot at LIFC 2023 also hosted some 20 to 30 attendees – all first timers to furry fandom and/or the convention – at meals or simply hanging out together.
Diverse demography of GFTV OCs
GFTV sits at the “junction between the East and the West,” geographically speaking.
Its Online Communities host furries globally, from Asia to the Middle East, from Eastern Europe to Latin America.
They also ensure its participants can integrate and make new friends regardless of their background in a safe and accepting space.

Sushi Wolf
