Renowned Taiwanese furry artist Biao Biao (飆飆, simplified: 飙飙) held a one-month solo art exhibition, titled “Wild Food,” on the second floor of the Taiwan Sun Cake Museum in Taichung’s Chuan-An-Tang July 1, with an opening tea party on the afternoon of 2 July.
The exhibition was based on Biao Biao’s recommended restaurants in Taichung, so that more people could learn about them and try them themselves.
The tea party attracted more than 50 people, and reproductions of the works on display were on sale too.
This is the second time Biao Biao held an art exhibition.
“”Wild” is the wildness of wild animals, and “food” refers to the food that people eat. With that will be my personal recommendations of small shops and restaurants in Taichung.”

Biao Biao adds, the ten complete works and ten sketches on display were created with these restaurants in mind.
He recommends that visitors go to try these cuisines after the exhibition.
All the works on display are digital, instead of the pure watercolour hand-painting that he used to do, Biao Biao said.
It was an experiment for him to try recreating his hand-painted watercolour style with digital brushes.
For that, he has studied brushes for a long time. Along the way, he made small changes until the output fits his expectations.
On the sale of his art reproductions, public acceptance was “higher than before”, and that he would continue to sell them, Biao Biao said.
The remaining reproductions after the opening tea party are now on sale on online platforms.
On future exhibition plans, Biao Biao says the next one will be held at FurSquare in Thailand in September, at Taiwan Creation Season in October, and at Design Festa in Japan in November, and that fans and fellow artists are welcome to come to join in the fun.

以充满毛毛艺术气息在台湾品尝台中当地美食
台湾知名艺术家飙飙，7 月 1 日起在台中全安堂台湾太阳饼博物馆 2 楼，举办为期一个月的个人插画展《野食》，并于 7 月 2 日下午进行开幕茶会。
展出作品以飙飙推荐在台中的餐厅为出发点，来让更多人能从中了解并亲自前往品尝。
茶会当天吸引约 50 多人左右参加，现场更提供本次展出作品的复制画贩售活动。
飙飙表示，本次是他第二次举办个展。

飙飙还说，这次展出的十幅完整作品和十幅草图都是以这些餐厅为主题创作的。他建议参观者在展览结束后去品尝这些美食。
飙飙说，这次展出的所有作品都是数码作品，而不是他善用的手工水彩画。
他尝试用数码画笔重现手绘水彩画的风格，这对他来说是一次实验。
为此，他对画笔进行了长时间的研究。一路走来，他做了一些小改动，直到画出的效果符合理想。
关于他的艺术复制品的销售情况，飙飙说，公众的接受度“比以往的高”，他将继续销售这些复制画。
开幕茶会后，剩余的复制画目前正在网络平台上销售。
今后展览计划，飙飙说下次展览将于 9 月在泰国 FurSquare、10 月在台湾创作季（台創季）、11 月在日本 Design Festa 举行，欢迎粉丝和艺术家同行前来捧场。
