Anthrocon, an annual furry convention in the United States, returned to Pittsburgh for its 19th year, drawing an estimated 17,000 attendees. The event was held at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center, fromm July 4 to 7.

Attendees participated in a variety of activities, including panels, workshops, and dances. The convention also hosted a dealers‘ den where attendees could purchase furry-themed merchandise, and an art show where they could display and sell their artwork.

One of the highlights of Anthrocon 2024 was the reveal of Fuga: Melodies of Steel 3. The announcement was made during a panel discussion hosted by CyberConnect2 CEO Hiroshi Matsuyama. The Fuga series is a popular tactical RPG series with a unique story and charming characters.

While the convention was largely a success, local media outlets reported long lines and registration issues experienced by some attendees. However, these issues did not disrupt event plans.

Anthrocon 2024 was a resounding success. The event donated more than US$100,000 to charity, aside from bringing significant economic benefits to the city of Pittsburgh.
