Following the success of IWAG Homecoming last December, the Indonesia Weekend Anthro Gathering (IWAG) returned with an even larger event, the Summer Festival, held at the Ibis Style Sunter Hotel in Jakarta on July 13 and 14, 2024.

With over 300 attendees from both Indonesia and abroad, the Summer Festival focused on furry conventions, featuring indoor game shows instead of the outdoor costume parades seen at previous PAWAI events.

The event welcomed international guests with a traditional Javanese ceremony involving the cutting of a Tumpeng, symbolizing the diversity of Indonesian culture. The official opening featured an animated video starring Kiki and Tama, the IWAG mascots created by Nakselion.

The Summer Festival also served as a gathering place for Dealer’s Den and Artist’s Alley participants from various locations, offering merchandise such as keychains, acrylic standees, and stickers. Several furry communities, including Railfurs and Indonesia Sonic Fans, also participated with booths and talent performances.

The two-day event was a success, solidifying IWAG’s position as one of the largest furry conventions in Indonesia, second only to PAWAI. Highlights included guest appearances by Bryan Leon, an Indonesian furry living in Malaysia, and a lively Dance Party Night.

The IWAG Summer Festival concluded with an animated video hinting at four potential themes for the next event, scheduled for July 2025.

印尼兽迷夏日盛典：IWAG 2024 再创佳绩

继去年12月IWAG Homecoming的成功举办，印尼周末兽聚（IWAG）于2024年7月13日至14日在雅加达宜必思尚品苏特尔酒店再度举办，规模更胜以往，名为“夏季庆典”（Summer Festival）。

本次夏季庆典吸引了来自印尼国内外超过300名参与者，聚焦兽迷展会，以室内游戏表演取代了先前PAWAI活动中的户外服装游行。

活动以传统的爪哇仪式欢迎国际嘉宾，包括切开象征印尼文化多样性的宝塔饭（Tumpeng），并在开幕式上播放了由 Nakselion 创作的 IWAG 吉祥物 Kiki 和 Tama 主演的动画视频。

夏季庆典还汇集了来自各地的在摊位间（dealers’ den）和艺术家巷（artist’s alley）摆摊展示的参与者，提供了钥匙扣、亚克力立牌和贴纸等周边商品。包括 Railfurs 和 Indonesia Sonic Fans 在内的几个兽迷社区也参与其中，设置了摊位并进行了才艺表演。

为期两天的活动取得了圆满成功，巩固了 IWAG 作为印尼最大的兽迷展会之一的地位，仅次于 PAWAI。亮点包括居住在马来西亚的印尼兽迷 Bryan Leon 的嘉宾出席，以及一场热闹的舞蹈派对之夜。

IWAG 夏季庆典以一段动画视频结束，暗示了计划于 2025 年 7 月举行的下一次活动的四个潜在主题。
