QianFurCon (QFC), the first furry convention held in Guizhou, China, debuted with the theme “Midsummer Tree Shade”.
They welcomed some 200 furries across the country for a furry weekend at Guiyang City’s Wanyi Panorama Hotel on Aug 3-4, 2024.
QFC featured a single-floor layout as their main event space. First, whiteboards for doodling and a name card exchange area ran along the hotel walkway, leading attendees to the ballroom.
Inside the ballroom, nine vendor tables and the main stage ran along the walls, creating a big open space in the middle.
QFC also worked with the nearby Shilihetan Scenic Area (十里河滩景区) to host a part of their event activities there. The area is part of the Huaxi National City Wetland Park (花溪国家城市湿地公园), China’s first park of this kind in its southwest.
Aside from being one of the city’s important sources of water, the park is home to rich flora and fauna, setting the stage for QFC’s outdoor activities. Furries roamed the area freely for fursuit pictures, or simply to enjoy the scenery.
QFC featured a variety of activities, including stage performances and minigame booths.
Some attendees partook in a friendly match on Honor of Kings (王者荣耀), a multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game. The game’s global version is known as Arena of Valor (传说对决).
An official group photo session and a farewell dinner rounded off the event.
In an exclusive interview with GFTV, QFC organizer Fierykylin emphasized the importance of innovation and attendee engagement in the furry convention scene.
He also shared QFC’s ambitious plans for the future, aiming to expand its reach beyond Guizhou and eventually host large-scale national furcons.
Fierykylin also stated that the next QFC will be smaller, to be held as a fursuit parade within the Shilihetan Scenic Area, capped at around 100 attendees.
中国贵州首届兽展以 200 参会者成功落幕
中国贵州首届兽展黔兽聚（QianFurCon, QFC）以“盛夏林荫”为主题，于2024年8月3日至4日在贵阳市万宜丽景酒店举行，吸引了全国各地约200名兽迷前来共度周末。
黔兽聚本次活动主要在一层楼内展开。
首先，酒店走廊上设有涂鸦白板和名片交换区，引导参会者前往宴会厅。宴会厅内，九张摊位桌和主舞台沿墙布置，中间留出宽敞的开放空间。
黔兽聚还与附近的十里河滩景区合作，在那里举办了部分活动。该景区属于花溪国家城市湿地公园，是中国西南地区首个此类公园。
除了是贵阳市重要的水源之一，公园还拥有丰富的动植物资源，为兽展的户外活动提供了绝佳舞台。兽迷们可以在此自由漫步，拍摄兽装照片，或单纯欣赏风景。
黔兽聚提供了丰富多彩的活动，包括舞台表演和小游戏摊位。一些参会者还进行了一场《王者荣耀》友谊赛。活动最后以官方合影和欢送晚宴圆满结束。
黔兽聚主办火麟受访时表示强调了创新和参会者参与在兽展中的重要性。他还分享了兽展对未来的雄心勃勃的计划，旨在将其影响力扩展到贵州省以外，并最终举办大型全国性兽展。
火麟还表示，下次黔兽聚将缩小规模，打算以兽装游行的形式在十里河滩景区内举行，参与人数上限约为100人。
