Following their first flash mob fursuit parade in March, the Furryday team held their second event, “Furryday Mid-Autumn Feast,” at Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Tainan Zhongshan Store on September 14th.
Compared to the previous event, this one offered more activities and there were more interactions with the public. They also held their first evening banquet and performance show, attracting many furries to attend.
The event was divided into three parts. In the day, activities were held inside the shopping mall, featuring two main events: the “Furry Arena” and the “Furry Hunt.”
In the Furry Arena, 16 fursuiters competed against each other in air hockey matches. The Furry Hunt lets the public find fursuiters to collect stamps, with which they can redeem prizes.
The organisers said they hoped the changes in the event would encourage more active interaction between the public and fursuiters.
Participant Baiyuan (白渊) said it was a good decision to use the Furry Hunt to let the public get to know fursuiters. Participant Huracán (乌砍) said the big event space allowed better photography of the performances.
The evening Mid-Autumn Festival-themed banquet was also a first. To let attendees experience the hospitality of southern Taiwan, organisers served Taiwanese banquet dishes paired with specially crafted Japanese sake cocktails, creating a unique “banquet” experience for furries.
To make the banquet even more special and memorable, organisers invited three performers to entertain attendees: Lu Yee (鹿毅), Paroto (帕洛特), and Seasnow (季雪).
At the fourth floor of the shopping mall sits a specialty shop selling Japanese sake. As co-organiser, they invited street performer Lu Yee and shared performance equipment with event performers. Organisers thanked them for this。
Participant Pinkcat (粉猫猫) said the overall experience was good, while another participant, Long Long, said he enjoyed such small gatherings where everyone could have fun together.
The organisers said they would review and improve upon the issues and feedback received during the event to make the next one even better.
As for whether there will be more events this year, organisers said the last event of the year is planned to be held at Deyuanpi Holland Village in Liuying, Tainan.

兽曜日月圆盛宴活动 中秋前夕欢乐释放毛能量
继3月的首届快闪大游行后，兽曜日团队于9/14号在新光三越台南中山店举办第二届《兽曜日月圆盛宴》活动，相较于上次活动变得更加丰富多样，并提高与群众的互动过程，晚上也首次举办晚宴与表演秀，让不少兽迷慕名前往参加。
活动分为三个阶段，白天活动主要在百货公司内进行，分别有毛毛擂台与毛毛搜捕中两个活动。
毛毛擂台主要透过桌上曲棍球游戏，让毛毛们可以游戏竞争，民众也能在周围观看；毛毛搜捕中则是让民众可以藉由寻找毛毛集点并兑换奖品。
主办方表示，希望透过活动上的改变，让民众更能主动跟毛毛互动。
参加者白渊表示，能藉由毛毛追捕活动，让民众去主动认识毛毛是一个很好的决定。参加者乌砍则说这次活动空间足够能很好拍摄表演。
晚上的月圆盛宴晚宴活动也是首次举办，主办单位表示本次晚宴要让参加者体验到南部的热情，因此采用台式宴客菜并搭配日本酒特调，让晚宴如一场专属兽迷的新层次办桌。
主办同时希望能藉由表演节目让晚宴更加特别并让人印象深刻，因此邀请了鹿毅、帕洛特、季雪三位演奏者，让参加者们不仅可以吃饭聊天，还可以欣赏他们带来的精采演出。
主办单位同时也感谢协办单位源酒屋邀请表演者鹿毅前来表演与主持，并且共享表演器材让其他演奏者能演出。
参加者粉猫猫表示整体感觉不错，另一位参加者龙龙表示他很喜欢这样的小型聚会，可以大家一起同乐。
主办单位表示，本次活动上有遇到的问题跟反馈，都会在进行检讨跟改善，让下次的活动会办得更好。
至于今年是否还会有活动举办，主办方表示，今年最后一场活动预计会在台南柳营的德元埤荷兰村举办，至于活动的时间和内容还请大家敬请期待。
