Introduction
1. Global Furry Television (GFTV) is a community-run, non-profit group founded in 2014 in the Republic of Singapore.
2. The founder is Mr. Henry Tan, a Singapore citizen. He is otherwise known by his original character (“fursona”) name, “Pawsry Chagasung Hamktxchuzhni”, or simply Pawsry. He is also the incumbent foremost officer of GFTV (“the Project Lead”).
3. GFTV’s leadership is international, with officers based in Singapore, the United States, and the Netherlands. As of 2025, its membership (“Personnel”) is made of volunteers contributing from Singapore, the United States, the Netherlands, Malaysia, Indonesia, China and Mexico. This membership may change at any time.
4. We create online content and host communities. In detail, we share news, culture, and stories from the furry community worldwide, and facilitate online and offline community events and spaces.
What we are under the law
5. Global Furry Television (GFTV) is an unincorporated association. This means we are a group of people who have agreed to work together for a shared purpose. Other people may voluntarily join GFTV as part of its Personnel.
6. We are not a company, society, or charity. Therefore, we do not have a Unique Entity Number (UEN). Our home jurisdiction is Singapore, and we follow Singapore law as our main legal framework.
7. Because we are unincorporated, GFTV cannot go to court in its own name. If a legal issue arises, authorised officers – such as the Project Head – act on behalf of GFTV under Singaporean judiciary rules for unincorporated groups.
How we are governed
8. The GFTV Charter sets the rules for our leadership, decision-making, and accountability. The Charter, supported by our Standards, acts as our constitution in practice. It makes sure GFTV’s Personnel act lawfully and responsibly even though not registered.
9. Authorised officers ensure GFTV’s effective operation. Working with other Personnel, they enter into agreements or partnerships, enforce Personnel discipline, and manage GFTV’s funds and assets responsibly.
10. Singapore law and the GFTV Charter take priority in all official matters. However, Personnel in other regions and territories will also follow their local laws while acting for GFTV.
