Introduction
Since 2014, Global Furry Television (GFTV) has built communities where people from different countries and backgrounds can meet, collaborate, and support one another.
Our leaders follow the GFTV Framework for Community Care (FCC). The FCC is how we steward GFTV-operated team and community spaces, platforms and events.
The FCC applies to everyone within GFTV spaces, whether you are a member of our Communities or our Team.
The journey you see above shaped the principles that guide how we care for our communities today.
Three Principles of the FCC
- People first, vibe second. Everyone deserves dignity and respect – because behind every username is a real person.
We will maintain places where members can participate safely, express themselves freely, and build meaningful connections.
We have a duty of care toward everyone in our Team and Communities, including vulnerable members like Persons with Additional Needs (PANs). We will make sure these individuals feel safe and supported within our spaces. - Steward, not boss. Actively maintain spaces that are respectful, constructive, and welcoming.
We will guide discussions, encourage positive participation, and intervene when needed to protect our communities’ health.
We will always decide based on evidence, our policy, and our due process – not rumours or public pressure. - Zero tolerance for bullying, harrassment and discrimination (BHD). No reason may justify any kind of bullying toward anyone.
Just because someone doesn’t vibe with you, doesn’t mean you can hurt them however you want.
Whether bullying comes from inside or outside our spaces, we will act to protect our communities and restore a safe and respectful environment. Authorities may be contacted if necessary.
What we mean by bullying
“Bullying” means singular or repeated acts by one or more individuals, be they sexual or moral, that hurt or threaten others through any form of communication, including but not limited to name-calling, insults, trolling, violence, discrimination, exclusion, shaming, harassment and threats, that:
– Causes physical or emotional harm to such person(s), worsening mental health;
– Places such person(s) in reasonable fear of harm to themselves;
– creates a hostile environment within the Communities for such person(s);
– substantially disrupts peace in the Communities.

From ‘Community’ to ‘Home’
The GFTV you see today were built through years of growth, challenges, and perseverance. Many who appear in this video walked that journey with us.
The video below reflects how our Communities grew into the spaces many now call home.
Our promise to you
GFTV will uphold the Framework for Community Care under the GFTV Charter and the Community Rules (CR). These policies are publicly accessible and operate under Singapore law – keeping our Team, our Communities, and the public accountable.
These policies define:
- community regulations;
- leadership responsibilities;
- enforcement procedures; and
- reporting and investigation processes.
GFTV leaders take responsibility for protecting the Communities we host – spaces many people now proudly call home.
