Gdakon caps attendance count at 450
Polish furcon Gdakon capped the attendee count to 450. That is because of COVID-19 policies and not enough hotel beds.
Yes – according to the furcon, their venue Novotel does not have enough beds available. Thus, extra attendees will be on a waiting list to get their rooms.
There are no overflow hotels. That means if the main venue is full, you need to find your own accommodation.

News from two furry Discord conventions.
Floof Con cancelled their Halloween event this year. Their chairman Haden Parker says staff burnout is a reason for this. But they may hold again “early next year.”
CozyCon will return on the third weekend of May 2023. Their recent September event saw attendee numbers hovering around one thousand. A feedback form is open. Convention event videos will publish later.
Bank transfer for 2023 tickets: Confuzzled
If you want to attend the British convention Confuzzled next year, use a bank transfer to pay for your tickets.
Why? Bank transfer ensures Confuzzled has the money to settle all costs before their 2023 event. No card payment provider, they say, would release funds to them before then.
At least, their hotel room prices are the same as this year.
