Singapore, 6 April 2024 – Singapore-based furry news channel Global Furry Television launched its Programme Rating System (PRS) on Sept 1, 2021.

It has three tiers – General (G) for audiences of all ages, Parental Guidance (PG) for audiences aged 13 until 17, and Mature Audiences (MT) for audiences aged 18 and above.

Three years after launch, the PRS is amended to align with policies stipulated under Singapore’s Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA).

This is because it was found that the PRS was too strict, mandating that the F-word (fuck), even “shit” and “bitch” all be classified under MT, making it stricter than IMDA’s policies.

IMDA’s current film classification guidelines state, the words “shit”, “bitch”, even “fuck” (when infrequently used) are allowed on ratings from as low as PG and PG-13.

Frequent use of “fuck” and harsher languages are reserved for higher ratings, such as M18 and R21 – the IMDA’s equivalents to GFTV’s MT rating.

As GFTV’s core operations are based in Singapore, the changes were swiftly made on the PRS. Now, for example. the word “fuck” will be rated PG – if not gratituously used. Otherwise, MT.

Additional details are added to the PRS to cover specific phrases in other languages as per IMDA’s wording.

国际兽视就节目评级系统限制用语方面做修改

新加坡，2024年4月6日 —— 总部位于新加坡的兽圈新闻频道国际兽圈电视（GFTV）于2021年9月1日推出了其节目评级系统（PRS）。

该系统分为三个等级：适合所有年龄段的“普通级”（G），适合13至17岁观众的“辅导级”（PG），以及适合18岁及以上观众的“限制级”（MT）。

在推出三年后，兽视对该分级系统进行了修改，以与新加坡资讯通信媒体发展局（IMDA）规定的政策保持一致。

这是因为兽视之前的分级系统过于严格，将 “fuck” 以及 “shit” 和 “bitch” 等等的粗话都归类为MT级别，这比IMDA的政策更加严格。

IMDA 目前的电影分类准则允许在 PG 和 PG-13 级别的评级中平时使用“shit”、“bitch”，甚至是偶尔使用 “fuck”。

频繁使用 “fuck” 和更严厉的语言通常保留给更高的分级，例如 M18 和 R21 – 这是 IMDA 对兽视的MT分级的等效。

因为核心运营基地位于新加坡，兽视因此根据 IMDA 的政策对 PRS 分级系统进行了修改，还添加了其他语言中特定短语的详细信息。

现在，“fuck” 在不过度使用 的情况下将被评为 PG 级别。否则，将归类为MT级别。
